TEACHER BIO

Annik has been a student of yoga since 1998. She began teaching movement as a certified group-fitness trainer in 2003, then Pilates + yoga in 2010. She is also certified in Swedish massage, acupressure, skin therapy, aromatherapy + master-level Reiki, which Annik loves to incorporate in some of her in-person classes.

Annik founded + remotely-runs a holistic centre in Vancouver, Canada that promotes the well-being of body + spirit [ CoalitionSkin ]. Originally from Toronto, she left at 19 to travel the world for 4 years. She lived in Vancouver for a decade to build a somewhat-solid biz foundation, til 2017 when she decided it was time to permanently leave Canada to move towards the life she had been creating.

She has a passion for serial-learning + then sharing what she has learned + embodied. She shares tools that help her on her journey such as core-awareness, pranayama, bandhas, lunar-cycle work, yoga philosophy. Guests who practice with Annik say classes are insightful, playful + comment on lovin the playlist. Annik loves giving options so all levels can join + work towards their physical, mental + spiritual growth through these classes.

Book a private, semi-private or group session when + where it’s convenient for you. At your Airbnb or we can rent a studio near you. [Areas for private classes include Sayulita, San Pancho, Lo de Marcos, Punta de Mita, Litibu, Patzcuaro, Patzcuarito.]

60, 75 and 90-min sessions available, up to 20 people. Price is calculated based on length of class, number of people, location and whether I am booked through a third-party who earns commission vs. when I am booked directly.

I am certified to guide meditation, breathwork, Vinyasa, Hatha, Hatha-based Kundalini, Mat Pilates, Group-Fitness. Additionally I’m certified in Swedish massage, Chinese Acupressure + Reiki.

  • Annik’s classes are professional, fun and educational.

    I’ve been attending Annik’s’ yoga and Pilates classes in Sayulita and San Pancho for years. Classes are fun and she always adds educational nuggets. I always leave having learned something new.

    Her classes have helped me heal old and new surf injuries. Through on-going practice with Annik’s Pilates I’ve developed a new understanding and awareness of my core~ how to strengthen it in ways that help me with my surfing and to prevent injuries.

  • I wish I lived in Sayulita so I could go to Annik’s yoga and Pilates classes all the time!!! She was my favourite teacher when she taught in Vancouver and we miss her teachings there.

    Her classes are fun/entertaining and she is so knowledgeable. She has a fitness and Pilates background and is deeply into yoga philosophy so I feel like we get the best of all worlds with her.

    Sayulita is a quick fllght away and I visit twice a year. Being able to go to Annik’s classes here is awesome! I can stay consistent with my yoga practice while on my getaway and attend quality classes with an experienced and qualified instructor.
